How to make cinnamon baked apple chips

Want a healthy alternative to chips, that even the kids will love?

Most packaged dried fruits contain added cane sugar, but here's a recipe for baked apple chips that uses only a touch of wholesome sweeteners and a sprinkle of cinnamon. No need for a dehydrator either, these tasty chips are made in the oven!

Enjoy this as a delicious dessert or pack a bagful for an on-the-go snack. Servings: 5 

Here's what you need:

  • 6 apples (try Pink Lady or Honeycrisp) 
  • 6 cups fruit-only juice (try pear juice) 
  • 2 cinnamon sticks 
  • Ground cinnamon 
  • Sea salt 
  • Coconut Crystals 


  1. Preheat the oven to 250 degrees F.
  2. Core and then thinly slice 6 apples (skins are fine!) 
  3. Boil the apples for 5 minutes in a pot with the fruit juice and cinnamon sticks. 
  4. Remove from the juice, pat dry and arrange the apple slices on a cooling rack placed on a rimmed baking sheet.

Delicious black bean and lentil salad with cumin lime dressing recipe

Black Bean and Lentil Salad with Cumin-Lime Dressing


  • 1 cup dry lentils (green or brown)
  • 15 oz. can black beans, rinsed and drained
  • 1 red bell pepper
  • 1/2 small red onion
  • 1-2 roma tomatoes
  • Large bunch cilantro, stems removed
  • Optional: green onion

{For the dressing}

  • Juice of 1 lime
  • 2 Tbsp. olive oil
  • 1 tsp. dijon mustard
  • 1-2 cloves garlic, minced
  • 1 tsp. cumin
  • 1/2 tsp. oregano
  • 1/8 tsp. salt

Optional: chipotle powder, chili powder, pepper, hot sauce, other seasonings, etc.


  1. Cook lentils according to package directions, leaving firm not mushy.
  2. Drain.
  3. While lentils are cooking, make the dressing: place all ingredients in a small bowl and whisk to combine. Set aside.
  4. Finely dice the bell pepper, onion, and tomatoes.

HIIT me with your best excuse!

How many times have you told yourself that you'd exercise and get fit, if only "you had the time?"

I could retire on the money I would earn, If I had a dollar for EVERY time I've heard the "I-don't-have-time excuse…"

Studies prove that HIIT training or High Intensity Interval Training is one of the most effective ways to burn fat fast!

The old way of exercising at a slow speed, for hours at a time on a treadmill, is over and done.

So what was that excuse about not having time again?

You don't need to spend hours in the gym to get amazing results!

This means rather than spending hours on the elliptical, you'd alternate between short, high-intensity bursts of exercise with short rest breaks in between.

The research makes it clear that this method of training burns more calories and builds fitness quicker with less time invested.

Hey guys!

Have you ever tried dragon fruit?

What better way to try a new fruit than by throwing it in a smoothie!

  • 1/2 dragon fruit (1 serving of fruit)
  • 1/2 banana (2nd serving of fruit)
  • 1 cup unsweetened almond milk
  • 2 fists of spinach (1 veggie serving)
  • 1 Scoop of vanilla protein powder (1 protein serving)
  • 1 thumb of almond butter

*Sprinkle with chia, hemp seeds, and unsweetened coconut flakes*
